Glad I got to donate successfully again, especially since my initial hemoglobin reading was too low. Very surprised since it almost never is these days. They let me heat up my other thumb, and then tested that thumb. I passed and was allowed to donate.

Also, today I ate breakfast and some snacks. I went to donate having only put that in my belly. When I finished I was a little lightheaded, when normally I'm not. Eating the snacks provided for donors afterwards fixed me right up, though.

Also, while I was in the donor chair, needles stuck in my arms, I saw someone else crash to the ground post-donation. Employees came to help them as soon as possible, but I overheard that they hadn't eaten. So yet another reminder to eat well before donation! (The person who fell was fine.)

Ty for donating. I've received multiple units of platelets since May. Then had a bone marrow transplant in July. My Platelet count is back to normal.
