I'm always thankful for these updates. Today it struck me the difference in Russian casualties here compared to the Soviet Afghan war. According to this page the total number of killed and injured Soviets was 68,753. So that means that with today's Russian casualties, Russia's invasion of Ukraine has cost Russia more than 16x the Soviet war in Afghanistan.
