@mkwadee I presented a concise version of this around 25 years ago in a seminar, telling participants how the light bounces off objects into your eyes, is processed by neurons before it even enters your brain, and how different parts of your brain, in the visual cortex and elsewhere, work together to identify features, lines, shapes, and patterns and feed back and forward into the processing before your brain constructs your visual reality.

@mkwadee I then asked the participants to tell me where that visual reality is. One said it was in the visual cortex; another said it was in the amygdala; others mentioned different parts of the brain.
I told them that it was a trick question; that the constructed visual reality is right there, in front of you, that you're seeing right now. Blew a few minds that day.
