We're having a new kitchen installed. When talking to the company about ovens I was given a list of options and chose one from their catalogue that has no Wifi capability.

Well it turns out that was no longer available, so now I have a wifi-enabled oven. Apparently if I connect it to the internet and install an app, I can get a video feed on my phone of my food cooking from the comfort of my sofa.

    FUCK. THAT.

The oven has wifi capability but thankfully doesn't need it for any of its core functionality. So it's going to spend its life as a very non-smart oven. And I'm sure it'll be happier for it.
