Who would want to live in a house like this?

I was out and about some way from my usual stamping grounds and came across this house with a wonderful set of wisteria climbers growing up the front. I just had to get a picture to share.

@dgodon @garry@toot.cat Here in the UK, a dorm building is a live-in campus building for university college students. This looked to me more like a typical British house that might have been built as a fully detached house in its own grounds, possibly split into two semidetached residences. A young guy walked up to the house and saw me looking, so I commented on the wisteria and he said he lived there with his parents. (1/2)

That was about all the conversation we had, but if I'm ever out that way again, I might ask him about the house,. (2/2)

@garry@mstdn.social @garry@toot.cat Is was kind of a sarcastic comment in response to the size of the house. Seemed too big for a single family house.

@dgodon @garry@toot.cat OK. If I hadn't talked to that guy, I might have gone away thinking it was some modern "guru's" ashram. 😁
