@kaeurenne backblaze is cloud object storage like Amazon s3 or similar.I would recommend trying to find an object storage service that's within budget for you, else you'll have to tweak LOTS of settings so that things get deleted off your system regularly,‍️

@rolle Fediverse is fantastic. I just wish that some topics were discussed more here.That's why I always had hope that Threads or Bluesky would federate fully, but unfortunately it still has never happened.

It's not cheap to run social media.

Fediverse is still the most lively social network I have ever used, since MySpace in 2003.

So...I saw this graph floating around that apparently roughly shows active user count across the 3 major corporate microblogging platforms.

5 months in and I still couldn’t get any of my friends or family members to join the Fediverse.
