When you were learning simple arithmetic in school, did the teacher ever ask you to read out a simple equation like: 2 x 2 = 4 And if so, did you say "two times two"? Or did you say "two ex two"? Many people on YouTube talk about cameras having, for example, a three ex lens. Why, do you think? I'm curious.

It reminded me of another question relating to YouTubers on tech subjects. For me, it's distracting when I hear the presenter say "ay" and "thee" instead of simply "a" and "the". It sounds to my ear as if they're amateurs trying to sound pro. And the prime example of this is someone who has been commenting on Apple products for many years.

It's also inconsistent. I don't know if they're reading from a script some but not all of the time, or if it's just part of their "professional voice". And the YouTuber could be of any nationality.
This isn't a hill I'm preparing to die on, it's just distracting. What do you think?
