Musk demanded higher stock compensation from the Tesla board or he'd take his AI efforts elsewhere. Tesla paid him. Musk then built xAI outside of Tesla.

Musk later demanded another higher stock compensation from the Tesla board or he'd take his humanoid robot efforts elsewhere. Tesla paid him. Now Tesla is delaying the humanoid robots (for how long?).

If I thought the Tesla board was acting on behalf of Tesla shareholders, I'd wonder why they did either of these. Its clear the board is in it for themselves and their own stock grants they frequently sell off as quickly as regulatory rules allow.
