    This is a bit of a personal one. Old memories from simpler times, how my mind has changed for worse, or better, seeking the next shiny thing to keep myself entertained while life goes on.

    The constant need for a source of entertainment

    Some thoughts about how I always want to keep my mind engaged and curious—or to keep it distracted from the real world?

      @joel

      I've been wanting to write a post about this but it never ends up just right. The thing is, there is nothing wrong with wanting to learn new things constantly. That is how our brain works and stays healthy. The problem is when it becomes an addiction, no longer an option, where you just watch dumb minding videos like the latest vblog of some shitty influencer promoting random brands. The difference is on the content. Learning origami is good for the brain, just like

      any other learning. We were highly gifted children always seeking to absorb more of the world, that doesn't change when we grow up.
      I get happy when I learn something new, I get depress when I realized I just wasted an hour of my little free time on some random influencer. I look forward to cleaning the kitchen in peace, cause it means I get to listen to a lecture of sorts, depending on the time. Even as a kid, I was always doing this by daydreaming, that's the only difference. @joel
