This is the most important statement in the article: and questioned if the state has the money for those “acceleration” classes. I don't think anyone is opposed to increasing education and resources for students, but is this bill a mandate along with the added resources to carry it out? If not, what things will school administrators cut to have to fulfill this new mandate? Teachers have been asking for smaller class size forever (rightfully so). If this bill mandates that only for those failing, where is the money to hire additional teachers to enact the smaller class sizes?
