Fedi (+ActivityPub) doesn't care whether that instance is monetized, run by Nazis, by BigTech or run by lizard people. Why? Because Federation isn't about building borders/silos. It's about interconnecting. Ergo: BlueSky is part of Fedi, independent of your opinion of corporate platforms. It's each persons choice to go with an instance they like, as long as they can interact with others on Fedi all is good.
