I mean, with striping, we'd have basically any amount of RAM we want! There's basically no downsides!

They claimed you could get "as many as 100,000 rewrite cycles". It would work for a little while as a swap, but would fail pretty soon.

It would be slow as fuck, but you could actually use DVD-RAM as RAM.
