#Threads@beaware.social The problem is they want to have people wary of it. The more people that actively connect and see out to the broader fediverse the more that might realize at some point they could sit on some mastadon/misskey/etc server, follow everyone they want, not have their data actively vacuumed and shown as ads everywhere, & also no ads while scrolling. It's about control...while occasionally being able to go "Yeah Threads is in the Fediverse" when the PR suits them.

@ppb1701 @beaware.social oh I know very well they're doing it on purpose, but if nobody calls them out, everyone will just believe their "Fedi bad" ideology.
