Implantable islet cells could control diabetes without insulin injections

<p class="card-text line-clamp-3">As an alternative to insulin injections, MIT researchers are developing an implantable device that encapsulates islet cells, protecting them from immune rejection. The device also carries an oxygen generator to keep the cells healthy.</p>
