@Tattie @blogdiva what have the greens achieved in the last 35 years of their existence? The actual decision was between a collective leadership and a singular leader, not one or two leaders. Founding a new party is hard, especially a socialist one. I'm absolutely certain the Greens in the UK will fail and abandon their ideals like they have in every other European country. I don't think it's where the left needs to organize, unless they want austerity politics and a leader who thinks he can hypnotize people to increase their boob sizes.

@BeAware @beaware.social I think he will end up doing that. I like him having the belt but then I've liked Joe since his TNA days (I didn't catch his ROH run as it happened). That said he is honestly getting where it should be a shorter run to give someone else the baton or to help boost a belt (which aew title doesn't need) so I'm guessing they are setting him up to transition to swerve though.

Ok, so what do they mean by “bring something to the table”.... By this logic, a pizza delivery guy can offer NOTHING to a girl who comes from a multi-millionaire family. Maybe he's delivering pizza because he recently returned from a Americorps mission helping to set up irrigation systems in an impoverish region. Perhaps he recently got laid off from his work at NOAA as climate scientist because trump doesn't believe in that and the pizza guy still has bills to pay, so he takes the work he can get. Maybe he's an sculptor that delivers pizza at night because he spends his days in hi studio chipping away at a giant chunk of marble because he can see a beautiful object in that rock and just needs remove everything that doesn't belong. A person can have more value or character because of what they do outside of how they pay their bills rather than inside of it. A girl from a multi-millionaire family may have a trust fund and doesn't need to earn any more money so she could choose a mate that has made a life of meaning. Hell, if I didn't have to work for money I'd love to so many of those things I listed above.

I was a huge spaceflight fan, but I admit my interest has waned in the last 5 years or so. The titans of spaceflight are largely...not good people. Its hard to cheer for the success of their organizations when their leaders are so destructive for society in their other pursuits. There are exceptions to this, like RocketLab's Peter Beck. Half credit positive for ULA's Tory Burno for being an areospace nerd as well as CEO, but half negative credit for his company's efforts to use its entrenched interests to block other rocket companies from growing just to preserve the ULA market. Richard Branson gets some positive as well and an "A for effort", but Virgin Orbit folded entirely, and Virgin Galactic is circling the drain.

I have a small portfolio of space company stocks and keep them as a reminder to avoid active investing. My boring old Total Market (essentially S&P500) index funds have done much better in the same time as my space stocks. Wait till gold drops by into it. Every time the market spikes for gold (as it is now), I run the projections to see if I would have been better off in gold than buying equities instead. Gold has never once shown to be the better investment as vehicle for appreciation.

For gaming I wonder if it could be underclocked and undervolted to get the power consumption down. Since its essentially RAM starved for alot of other games, it may not be able to take full advantage of the CPU/GPU and a slowed-down, but lower power consumption unit, might still play games of certain era's just fine.
